Hotels With a Private Tub in Austin, TX — Best Options in 2026
Austin’s hotel scene has exploded in the last decade — the city went from a handful of decent options to having some genuinely world-class properties. Here are the best for a suite with a private tub.
1. Four Seasons Austin
From ~$500/night
The Four Seasons Austin sits on Lady Bird Lake with suites that have soaking tubs and lake views. The pool deck is one of the best in Austin, and Ciclo restaurant does solid Texas-meets-Mexico cooking. If you want reliable, top-tier service with a great setting, this is the obvious choice.

2. The Driskill
From ~$300/night
The Driskill opened in 1886 and is Austin’s most storied hotel. The suites have soaking tubs, and the building — with its ornate Victorian lobby and Romanesque arches — is worth seeing regardless of whether you’re staying. Walking distance to Sixth Street and the Austin City Limits venue. The bar is a classic Austin hang.

3. Hotel Magdalena
From ~$250/night
Hotel Magdalena is on South Congress — Austin’s coolest strip for shops, restaurants, and bars. The suites have soaking tubs and the design is relaxed Texas modernism. The pool area is excellent, and June’s All Day restaurant attached to the hotel is genuinely good. More laid-back than the Four Seasons but with its own character.

Practical notes for Austin
- SXSW (March) changes everything. The city fills completely for two weeks in March. Hotels book up 6–12 months ahead and prices triple. Plan around it or embrace it.
- Summer heat. Austin summers are extreme — 100°F+ is normal in July and August. Indoor tub suites are genuinely appealing in that context.
- ACL Fest (October). Austin City Limits Music Festival fills the city over two weekends in October. Book well ahead if visiting then.
- South Congress vs Downtown. South Congress is more local and walkable for shops and restaurants. Downtown is closer to Sixth Street nightlife and the convention center.
